Clearview Press is grounded in a simple conviction: that the Word of God is trustworthy, and that the church is strengthened when its truth is handled with care. We believe sound doctrine matters, and that Scripture rewards the closest study we can give it.
We publish for scholars, for pastors, and for the whole people of God. Serious study is not the province of a few – it is a gift meant to build up the entire church, and we make our work to strengthen everyone who takes up the Word and labors to understand it.
We hold every title to a high standard of accuracy and craftsmanship, and we do so as an act of worship. When the subject is Scripture, excellence is not vanity but reverence: every editorial decision, every line of type, every bound page is an offering made in service to the One whose words we set. This is what our motto means – Truth Clearly Written.
And we publish to reach. Our aim is to place the Word of God and faithful scholarship into the hands of every reader who seeks it, trusting that these words are meant to travel far beyond any one church, city, or people – so that all peoples might come to know Jesus Christ.
Clearview Press was founded by Abidan Shah, who anchors its scholarly work. He holds a Ph.D. in New Testament Textual Criticism, with his research focusing on recovering the original text of the New Testament, and serves as a professor of Greek and New Testament studies at Carolina University.
Dr. Shah has presented papers at the Evangelical Theological Society and has authored several books spanning both streams this press is built on — academic works such as Changing the Goalpost of New Testament Textual Criticism and Can We Recover the Original Text of the New Testament?, as well as devotional writing, including the “30 Days” series. Alongside his scholarship, he has served for nearly three decades as Senior Pastor of Clearview Church in Henderson, North Carolina — the community from which this press grew.
It is this combination — the mind of a scholar and the heart of a pastor — that sets the standard for everything Clearview Press publishes.
